Telehealth medicine is a Medicare rebateable consultation, by which your specialist conducts the consultation via video-conferencing, either with yourself or in association with your general practitioner or practice nurse. This service alleviates the necessity for patients of rural or remote areas having to travel long distances to access specialist care. We encourage family members and/or friends to attend these consultations, especially if the patient is hard of hearing or has any visual deficits.

Our specialist doctors will advise if you meet the eligibility criteria for telehealth consultations, as proximity restrictions are imposed by Medicare.
