Dr Nisal Gange is a Geriatrician and Stroke Physician who specialises in a diverse range of Geriatric syndromes and Stroke Medicine.
He completed his postgraduate specialist training in geriatrics, general medicine and stroke care at Oxford Deanery and worked as a consultant physician for several years for the NHS in United Kingdom. He was admitted to the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom, with specialisation in General and Geriatric Medicine in 2004 and completed a Master of Science in Aging, Health and Disease at Cardiff University, UK in 2011.
Dr Gange relocated to Toowoomba with his family in 2012. He was admitted to the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with specialisation in Adult Geriatric Medicine in Australia in 2013.
Dr Gange is committed to providing comprehensive holistic, evidence-based care to the aging population of Toowoomba and surrounding regions. He endeavours to deliver the highest level of care to improve the quality of life and health of persons with geriatric, stroke and rehabilitation care needs.
Practice Locations
Dr Gange’s private consulting rooms are located at Infinity Specialists, Level 2 of St. Vincent’s Private Hospital. Dr Gange also leads the high-quality rehabilitation inpatient service and the new primary stroke unit (delivering sub-acute stroke care) at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital.
In addition to these private services, Dr Gange presently holds the position of Director of Geriatrics, Adult Rehabilitation and Stroke services (GARSS) at the Toowoomba Hospital.
Areas of Interest
Dr Gange has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of stroke and TIA. Along with various geriatric syndromes including Parkinson’s disease, memory and dementia, and medication rationalisation.
Outside medicine, he loves travelling and cricket.
